What We Did:
This was all about smart density. We took a large detached home and turned it into a legal duplex, with a 4-bedroom upper unit and a basement split into a two bedroom unit — purpose-built for high bedroom rents.
We didn’t stop there. We added a 1,000 sq ft, 2-bedroom laneway suite in the backyard — fully detached and fully rentable. The result was three strong rental streams on one lot, all fully legal and up to code.
